Our Saplings class is designed to meet the unique needs of toddlers, who are forming who they are and beginning to express their unique personalities, preferences, and ideas. This is a time of incredible growth, physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially, as children move from parallel play to meaningful interactions with others.
In our Saplings class, we create a rich and responsive environment where toddlers can confidently explore, supported by nurturing educators who guide them through the ups and downs of early independence. Through hands-on activities, imaginative play, group experiences, and gentle routines, children develop language, self-help skills, and a growing awareness of themselves and others.
We honour each child’s voice and choices, fostering a sense of agency while providing the consistency and emotional security they still deeply need. The Saplings room is where curiosity, connection, and emerging identity take root, laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
